Hello and welcome back,
To comment on politics affecting our lives, no matter how ignorant we decided to be, was always a fun, enlightening moment and an opportunity to practise critical thinking. But as we are coming to the brink of an old era, with the new lurking from behind the corner, it’s becoming more of a sanity check, mixed with the glitches of alternative reality interfering with our universe, to ensure we stay confused. Looking around, one might feel that evil took over the world.
Luckily humanity exists long enough to remember its evolution, empires rising and falling, old ages replaced by new... And all these chaotic events are balanced by the most powerful force - the good. Luckily, there is more good than bad people on this planet. So why do we feel like every layer of today’s society has been taken over by evil? The answer is pretty simple.
What we feel like it’s evil, it’s actually not. It’s stupidity, senselessness and dullness. And it’s happening to us every time when the old system is about to be replaced by a new, better and fairer than the actual one. We should not fear evil, but we should be aware of stupidity and its dangers. The symptoms of a dying age - our latest government, all dictators, autocrats and corporations hanging on past principles, not compatible with the future, are slowly poisoning us with stupidity. Hitler’s Germany was there in the 30s, so putin’s russia is now. Not all Germans were bad people. They just allowed a few wrong people to make the majority stupid. The same is happening now in russia - not all russians are evil, they just chose the comfort of stupidity. And here on the island? Not all Tories are evil…
Yes, it’s clear now - capitalism is dead. The global economic system crossed the line of its limits a while ago, the concept of an auto-correctable free market failed, and endless “growth” is not so endless if it’s not fair. The good news is that populists, dictators and emperors are not having the best time recently, discovering actual reality instead of their alternative versions. A reality where the solutions are the key and “dividing to rule” has never been the solution. It’s just a short-term euphoria, without an option to reach long-term happiness. Populists or dictators have no solutions, no vision, and no ideas. That is their weakness.
There is more good than bad people around. Good people create, build and contribute. Creativity and an open mind allow us to see new opportunities, and fix what's broken, leading us to respect the knowledge and facts, to find the best solutions. The age of capitalism is over and to make the upcoming era better, we should keep our minds open, and learn how to disagree respectfully. The best thing happens when two opposite views find a way to communicate and respect each other. Only this way we will be able to redesign old business models and develop upgrades for the new system. In the end, the good inside of us will restore the balance of power in the new age.
Exciting new times need a quality soundtrack. I’m sure you know what to do.
Thank you for reading and stay connected
