Hello and welcome back,
It’s been one year since the full-scale invasion, but nine years since the attack on Ukraine, and more importantly - an attack on freedom and not always perfect democracy. Nine years ago there were little green men wandering the streets of Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk with anti-aircraft missile systems of “unknown origin”. When they shot down the civilian plane nine years ago, it was already too late to act. Blinded and corrupted by cheap gas and shiny pipes we failed Ukraine which was trying to get rid of cancer spread across the country through stalin’s social engineering practices. We failed the country which decided to follow our vision of society, not the one with institutionalised terror.
If things were “grey” and “muddy”, they switched to perfectly black and white in clear contrast 365 days ago. The evil attacked the prey the first moment the prey start to feel free. The moment Ukraine chose the European Union as a partner and stood up against the pro-russian government was the moment for evil to wait no more. Ukraine is choosing democracy because it’s their right to do so. They are choosing freedom instead of terror. And for the last 365 days, they are protecting not just their country, but also the future of all of us here in Europe. They decided to do something most of us will not be able to do - fight for freedom.
If the little alternative emperor wins this war, the whole world will change and the worst people will see their chance to rule. Imagine Nigel Farage as PM, Donald back in the office, Le Pen as the new French president and North Korea as a member of the UN … To prevent such darkness, we need to keep supporting the people of Ukraine until the only end - a free country without russian soldiers.
Слава Україні!
✧ Ukraine - 365 days ✧ Friday 24th February 2023 9am - 1pm
I’m sure there are loads of questions about why we should send weapons to Ukraine if there are so many other conflicts and environmental catastrophes where support is needed. There are many questions about Ukraine itself, its state of human rights, or corruption. I will try to work on some answers together with Masha and PJ in tomorrow’s special morning show.
Tune in.
Thank you for reading and stay connected
