Hello and welcome back.
Thirty two years ago, on November 17th, students in Prague decided that it had had enough of communist dictatorship and they helped to change the world. Inspired by uprisings all around East Europe, young people went to the street to fight for freedom. In Czechoslovakia - with no violence. It’s called the Velvet Revolution. Today, 32 years later, my home country Slovakia is doing really well in chaos and conspiracies (only 42.6% fully vaccinated) and many people are dying in hospitals, because the establishment failed to be trusted. Democracy is young in my homeland and we are still learning how to handle it. Seeing old bards of democracy having similar issues makes me think about how thin the shell of our freedom is and how to make it stronger.
In the age when marketing and “numbers” are the holy grail of success and the past is deciding the future, we are experiencing failure of these strategies. One very smart human being Rutger Bregman said once - “I’ve been to conferences in Davos, I met all the world's leaders and I tried to find out if there are any super rich who would like to control the world. The truth is much more worrying - these guys have no idea what they are doing”
Pretty damn sticky situation we are in, but as I think about it more, it’s becoming clearer. The World pandemic came and establishments across the world failed to react. War on information is in full effect on the internet and our leaders don’t even understand the basics of the issue. Seems like old dudes are deciding about the future of children and they’re failing to think outside of the box and adapt to this new reality. Is there any solution? There is ALWAYS a solution. It’s time to go creative. Yesterday I came across a genius idea. Why would we not ask our children for their opinion? In a sense of giving them a right to vote. It can be the much needed revolutionary change as any right to vote evolution in human history was. Imagine - BJ is preparing a marketing promo video starting with “dear children, I want to be your Prime Minister because I have a vision and I know how much my generation has to sacrifice to achieve it.” Just imagine...
The Truth is - we all can contribute to a better world, If we have a vision. In anything we do. And if our ideals don’t require sacrifice, what is their actual value?
I know it’s not easy in the age when 80’s bands are storming UK charts, announcing hologram tours, some while still alive. Thank universe we have real metaverse, interesting world record and Netil Radio to guide us through.

Live in Glasgow - FLOP or COP26
By Tami of Trance Pennine Express
Our resident Tami has been working tirelessly on COP26 in Glasgow for the past two years, here's an update from them the inside...
Whilst the Blue Zone was filled with false promises, fake headlines, a lack of urgency and corporate greenwashing. The climate fringe aka civil society (grassroots, community, activists & charity) came together with full force to demand urgent action on climate collapse. Saturday the 6th of November had over 200,000 people take to the streets to demand for Climate Justice on the Global Day of Action.
If there's no dancing, it's not my revolution. I was part of a sound system crew with a pick up truck and generator which took to the streets to provide well needed vibes for the 6 hour march through the rain. Overall, official COP26 has been a failure on a global scale but on the fringe here in Glasgow, we have made stronger movements, connected communities and it's shown how much power we hold through collective action.
That’s all for this week
