Hello and welcome “back to Siberia”,
Last week’s excitement with the illusion of spring tasted the same as the excitement of discovering an infinite wine cellar in a recently confiscated yacht, even though we might never really find out who the actual owner of the ship is. Confiscating luxurious goods and sending unused weaponry reads better in the newspaper excerpts than actually helping Ukraine, by keeping women and children safe.
With everything happening around us, including those five minutes of snow in London, watching cold war spy movies is a sensible thing to do. The BBC version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Professor X brings back bitter nostalgia of my childhood in Czechoslovakia with all the soviet peacemakers and their tanks, who came to exercise denazification of my country, alternative version of reality and celebratory practices. Seeing the same pictures from Russia in 2022 is beyond the feeling of deja vu - Welcome back to Siberia…
While we have to reach for winter jackets again, tackling climate change by changing the definition of heatwave, Netil Radio’s plans for summer are shaping up very well.
Netil360 rooftop bar & sauna is reopening this week, that means that our weekly residency is back! Join our DJs every Saturday 6pm till close. Jaye Ward will start the season this weekend.
SODAA STREAM will start the season of radio takeovers on Friday 29th of April and Slauka is bringing a big crew to Netil Market on Saturday 30th of April.
Come and celebrate our 5th birthday with us! Five day long celebration will happen on 28th-31st of May on Netil Market and on air.
