Words
Hello,
Welcome back to our weekly link storm. We are very excited to have djs back on track, more focused, less covid positive and generally in a better mood than the last few months. Even more exciting are the new shows we just confirmed last week. It seems like the year with loads of 2s will finally be a year when we can slowly get back to life. I didnât say âback to normalâ because if you read this newsletter, you know that ânormalâ wasnât so great and now itâs time to adapt and create a better one. Ainât gonna be easy, but I believe in us.
While our little station is doing well, the worldâs chaos is peaking. Russian kleptocrats still pretend they are the world's superpower, but we all know that there are only two fields where theyâre successful - hiding their wealth and mocking corrupt politicians. Lizz Truss could experience it live at a press conference and we can clearly see that itâs hard to âbe strongâ if you sell a tennis match with the PM to batushkaâs wallets in London.Â
Meanwhile in the world of sport, the question of letting autokracts and authoritarians organise mega sport events taste even more bitter. Looking at the Olympic games which just started last week, the bitterness becomes really not undigestible. Everyone inside the Olympic bubble had to download the mandatory MY2022 app, so most of those inside had to include burner phones into their luggage with a list of things they better donât say or write anywhere. The area where all the ski sports are taking place, had less snowfall in 2021 than London. This canât stop the party, but can make people in Beijing run out of underground water, and the fake snow is not very environmentally friendly either. And we skip the issues of Tibet and Uyghurs in this editorial.Â
The truth is that western democracies canât afford megalomaniac sport events anymore, so dictators, kings, emperors and kleptocrats took over. And the question is - how long will we support sport organisations for not being able to understand that events in countries like this only legitimise and support values which have no place in such a honourable idea of sport competition?Â

Our new resident Faery sent us a few tips ahead of her first show. Check!
⧠Alfred Czital - Reality Check - Harmony Rec. ⧠This has to be my favourite release from February so far - deep and dubby, but with a touch of groove.
⧠Kletis - Orphic - Secuencias Temporales ⧠Hypnotic, wormholing techno at itâs best. Favourite track? Probably âSolsticeâ (although I love them all).
⧠AXOON, Reign. - Destinations EP5 - Indefinite Pitch ⧠Been really into Indefinite Pitchesâ âDestinationsâ Series - âEP 5â really blew me away, the AXOON track is perfectly dark and spooky!
