Words
Hello and welcome back,
Did you Survive the taste of the future, sprinkled with alternative reality infusing the actual reality that we seem to be living in? Good! Because the world needs your action right now. And I’m not talking about more recycling, becoming vegan, focusing on “leave no trace” during festivals, or reusable plastic cups on events. Those are certainly things worth thinking about, but not exactly going to save the planet.
Energy crisis, inflation, cost of living crisis, war, climate action anti lobby, corruption. All of these things share one, big element - $3bn-per-day profits for the last 50 years - it’s all linked to the oil sector, from plastic straws to heating and fuel. Couple that together with incompetence of the corrupted Conservatives whose perception of reality is still stuck in 1970s, we get lethal cocktail that this country, nor the planet deserves.
Enough has been written and more than enough revealed about how our western oil companies are profiting and stopping the progress. Not enough is written about how the modern fascist of the imaginary empire is using fossil fuels to destabilise our democracy, life and freedom. Maybe we are still too comfortable, and so turn a blind eye to corrupted politicians who are ‘in bed’ with the fossil fuel industry and criminals - who make us dependable on gas and oil from kleptocrats, dictators and murderers.
Conservative candidates for PM love to talk about safety. Brexit has been “delivered” in the time when, more than ever, it’s important to stick together with our allies in Europe. Our safety in the UK relies on the safety of Europe. This is no time to be divided - or to make enemies of our neighbours, or abuse refugees running away from conflicts.
The worst people in the world steal tens of billions of dollars, pounds and euros from the poor. And London is a world centre of money laundering, reputation cleaning and practices which are the real destroyers of community and institutions. Rising property prices, deforming our decisions and undermining the public trust. Lawyers, bankers, accountants, arrangers and politicians are all part of this corrupted system. Working as handlers for kleptocrats, bending rules and bullying opponents.
So the question isn't who will be the next unelected PM, but how we show this government that we have had enough of the imaginary issues and that it’s time to focus on the real ones.
Meanwhile in another imaginary world, the world of social media, we will soon see just how much people were manipulated to; help get tax offender Donald Trump into The White House as US President, or indeed closer to our own shores - get Brexit done as Mark Zukerberg will face a six-hour deposition over the way the company handled user data relating to the Cambridge Analytica scandal - And we are here for it!
In the meantime, stay tuned to Netil Radio. It’s good for you.
Thank you for reading and stay connected
