Words
Hello and welcome back,
Hope you survived the spooky weekend, winning the costume of the night contest and most importantly - you remember the fun you had. Exciting times are coming - Beer tax will be lower, and seeing BJ’s performance at the COP26 summit, there will be loads of projects making Britain greener and offshore companies richer. Not sure in which order or what the priority logistics are though..
Reading a story of how someone working in a nightclub can become a target for the government to spy on - the same government whose family members are friends of BJ’s shady donors - makes me feel worried. Worried that we are having way too much fun for the IRL situation we are actually in.
We are political on social media, but real life actions have a weird form of a loud minority’s mystical opinions, whilst the rest of us are just trying to catch up on imaginary feelings of freedom - not able to see that it’s just a reused plaster on a badly broken limb.
Pictures of ourselves on social media are called “content” and we believe that we are tricking the algorithm by posting them. The real content is lost in noise. Facebook is going to fix the mess they created by rebranding to Meta - which means Dead in Hebrew. Still think it's a good time to party?
Oh wait - it’s always a good time to party! Just sometimes we should maybe stop to think beyond the pinch of our noses and beyond our hangovers. The music and the essence of community will not die if we are more respectful to reality and start to take things seriously.
Elections are coming and we need to stop the corrupt - who seem to be going wild. It’s time to think about how. There don’t seem to be many options, so we have to show-up and say what we want, Stop being experts on everything and focus on things we understand.
Here in Netil Radio, we are trying to do only things we understand - We managed to stay open in the pandemic and we are adding content to exercise your mind and inspire your opinion via our early morning shows - our djs don’t pay us for using the studio, they actually turn up and use it.
Music is the healer they say, so the best self-care you can do is to listen to Netil Radio while you’re making the world a better place.
