Hello and welcome back,
I hope you survived the festival of freedom last weekend and are now emotionally charged to withstand reality. One strike just finished before you went off to have fun, another one is in progress with more to come.
One of the biggest reasons for the strike these days is the opposition, or the lack of opposition to be correct. Keir’s charisma and choice of topics to oppose the corrupted government is so out of touch, that people choose to strike to bring the conversation to where it needs to be. And that’s good, because it’s our right. For now….
Meanwhile behind the ocean, confused and senile old men decided to bring USA to the 19th century not just by the psychotic urge to put their dirty hands into women’s womb, but also by limiting the Environmental Protection Agency’s power to regulate emissions from fossil fuel-fired power plants. Why? Because they can.
Society is polarised and to fix it, we need to find the common ground between two polarised poles. The only way to do so is to bring more options to the table. It will be impossible in the current system. If opposition to the alternative reality of Conservatives is only the Labour, there is too much space to argue, not much to compromise. But if we implement more opinions, by taking Liberal Democrats or Green Party more seriously and forcing politicians to accept a coalition when creating the future government, things might change for the better.
Last time this country went to the streets was the March Against Brexit. Since then, the right to protest has become a threat to the government but they’re trying, oh boy aren’t they just. We can’t let them. We need to fight for our rights. It’s resistance time.
While preparing for the strike season, keep listening to Netil Radio. It’s good for you.
Thank you for reading and stay connected
