Hello and welcome back,
The easter spirit is still in the air and the whole week has felt like nobody is working. It was the perfect opportunity to do some gardening outside the studio with teeth full sun and weak clouds.
Seems like there was a party weekend in Chechnya too and we can only guess which security guard refused entry to the imaginary emperor Kadyrov’s son. That’s the only logical explanation for the weirdest music-related ban ever imposed, allowing only music between 80 to 116 bpm. The good news is that chuggers might sneak in and all two DJs in Chechnya can play all the fast records on 33rpm instead of 45rpm.
Strange is the world of dictators, imaginary emperors, lords and other sociopaths having their moment right now, but let’s be honest, the music industry world has its own kings. Some of them can’t comprehend that not everyone takes music dead seriously and seems like a DJ with a horse head is not the same idea as DJs with robot heads. But I guess serious music people never experienced whistles on the dance floors back in the day.
Speaking of back in the day, when clubs were safe and inclusive, the first episode of The Experiment series, about rethinking the system and taking back control in the world of organising events, is nearly done and will be published instead of my rants here next week. Excited? It’ll be your favourite soundtrack to pass the time.
Thank you for reading and stay connected
